Approximately 36 million Americans are dealing with some degree of hearing loss, making ASL one of the most highly regulated and most requested language services. American Sign Language (ASL) is a visual language used by members of the Deaf community throughout the United States. It is a rich and complex language that uses a combination of hand gestures, facial expressions, and body language to convey meaning. Michigan has its own regulations regarding ASL, including added requirements for settings such as Educational, DeafBlind, Medical and Mental Health, and Legal.

ASL and Communication with the DeafBlind Community
We strive to ensure that the most qualified interpreters are available to meet the needs of the community. We support this by providing continuing education to interpreters of all languages, but especially in ASL. What we can do for you.
Your Unique Goals, Our Specialized Approach
Video Remote Interpreting
(VRI)
We offer a technology-based service that facilitates communication between ASL users and individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. It involves using video conferencing software or devices to connect individuals who are in different locations.
Through VRI, an ASL interpreter can provide real-time interpretation for Deaf individuals, by visually translating spoken language into sign language or vice versa. This allows for effective and accessible communication without the need for physical presence in the same location.
VRI enhances communication accessibility and inclusivity for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community by bridging the gap between individuals who use sign language and those who do not.
Face-to-Face
(F2F)
At 7C Lingo, we specialize in providing comprehensive Face-to-Face(F2F) Interpretation services. Our skilled interpreters have the ability and preference to come to your scheduled need in person. This allows the 3D language of ASL to come to life and supports the Client/Provider relationship with personal connection.
In person interpretation negates the need for setting up your device, confirming appropriate internet connection, resolves possible audio/video issues, allows the interpreter to see all that is happening in the environment surrounding the appointment which in turn, enhances the interaction.
