With a degree in International Relations and a variety of personal travel experiences, I couldn’t be more excited to join the team at 7C Lingo and help bring to life our new Travel Management services. My most recent travel experience involved living abroad for three months in Barcelona, Spain, where I did research on Spanish and European arms production and exportation. Living and working in Barcelona gave me a whole new range of appreciation for the cultural intricacies that are necessary to form global relationships—in my workplace, I spoke only in Spanish but grew to appreciate the language of Catalan and the customs associated with it that are unique to the greater Spanish region of Catalonia.
This experience initiated my understanding of the ways in which culture and language skills can make an impactful professional difference, just as much as they lead to great personal improvement. Other diverse professional experiences—including working with Michigan State University’s international student population in various capacities—have driven my passion to work for a company like 7C that helps others capitalize on their intercultural skills for a greater purpose.
The Travel Management service is unique because, not only does our partnership with one of the top 50 travel companies nationwide allow us the buying power to truly customize trips for our clients, but the 7C team is able to provide accurate cultural expertise to supplement these trips. I couldn’t think of a better place than 7C Lingo to bring my own experiences to the table in a way that will challenge the global understandings of others—and allow them to challenge me!
