There were some concerns about the English title of the curriculum in the middle of the assignment, and it was difficult to reach a consensus since the target audience interprets the same word differently depending on what Spanish-speaking region they are from.
Additionally, after completing the translation and proofreading, the decision was made to change the entire content from informal to formal text. This meant our translators had to go back through the entire text in order to make the necessary changes while breaking the word file down into segments and formatting it to shape it as a curriculum.
The Social Emotional Health Department within MSU Extension developed a program focused on healthy ways to deal with anger called RELAX. They requested this curriculum to be transcreated and localized from scratch to specifically relate to the Spanish speaking community. 7C Lingo was also tasked with designing an infographic that was accurately transcreated. and localized. There was a continuous back and forth communication between the client and our team at each step of the project to get feedback and ensure we caught all changes and errors. With a highly specialized linguistic and graphics team at 7C Lingo, we made sure the communication was clear and successful across all channels and the final result exceeded the client’s expectations.
How did 7C Help
7C Lingo transcreated and localized the entire curriculum and adapted the content for the Spanish-speaking community of MSU Extension. We were tasked with recreating the course logo, color scheme, reviewing pictures/graphics, adapting verbiage, breaking down content to be very localized, and more! We were able to react and quickly adapt our work to all of the bumps in the road.
